The sun was shining so I headed off for a walk - to Pulborough.
Lots of songsters around but didn't see/hear so many Nightingales this time. White throats, chiff chaffs, black caps.. all heard and seen. Out on the water a Greenshank and about three Little Egrets! Although one of them looked a bit too big for a Little Egret...
BUT I did get to hear a cuckoo that sang for about 5 minutes.. well off in the distance.. great to hear it!
A few pics - not many as mostly everything was flying too fast or in hiding!
A Great Tit... ticking away!!
And later a Nuthatch singing from the tree top!
A Lapwing contemplating life..
A whitethroat added to the songster chorus.. but wouldn't turn round ..
A couple of Treecreepers dashed about overhead
and a Nightingale sang......
