However, at my first stop at Bourton-on-the-water.. the clouds lifted a bit and the sun peeped through.. it also got a bit warmer.
Had a wander... and found the Cornish Bakery for an excellent coffee and danish pastry for breakfast.. was glad to find something open before 9.00 a.m..
An elderly gent was watching the horses standing in the water.. he was a local and stated he'd never ever seen horses here before...
And the weather came a bit dodgy again so decided to pay a short visit to Birdland... I took Mum here years ago and she loved it.. everything being close at hand for her..
Camera shy penguins?..
Picture taken through wire mesh so a bit blurred in places..
Caribbean Flamgoes
And then after some lunch and a detour, I headed off for Lower Slaughter.. one of the many picturesque villages of the Cotswolds..
The local Church
Good to be able to wander and stretch my legs....
and tomorrow?... hmmmm... heavy rain is forecast...
