Great find was a pair of Woodlark... the sky was dull so really pleased to get these shots..
Managed a siting of a Dartford Warble as it popped up and then disappeared.
A robin obliged by posing nicely
as did a Chaffinch
After a wander we decided the cafe would be open and Rob would be there with his scones - he was!!
First two pictures are courtesy of Pete as I managed to wipe my memory card DOH!!
I have to say at this point that our first round of scones we shared and had half each of each scone sampled... :D
Blackberry & Apple, Hot Cross Bun, White Chocolate & Raspberry
Pear & Ginger
Lemon & Blueberry
Stilton & Ale
From there off to Minsmere. We arrived and started walking - the sky went black and the wind roared and chucked rain at us - we got very web..
But eventually it cleared and we saw a Spoonbill far over the other side. Lifer for me. Two or three sightings of Marsh Harrier..
Godwits were about...
A Stonechat ;perched
Several Avocets
A Green woodie..
Adder curled up on the sun - the sky was getting bluer by the minute...
and great siting of a Munjac that didn't seem at all phased by our prescence..
Great to see a Blackcap..
and another great siting -this time a Marsh Tit
and finally back to Dunwich for tea......
A great day out with some good birds
