After spending the night in Blaxhall at the Ship Hotel (great location and woke to bird song)..we headed off this morning straight to Minsmere... this time brilliant sunshine and no rain!! Very windy but that didn't seem to matter. And finally!! managed a good view of a Cettis - we'ed heard dozens of them over the two days but all in hiding until this one!!
An obliging wren sang to us...
We were on the lookout for Bearded Tits - which we saw - three fly over, dipped down and they flew off again. Later on we were to see one more.
View of the NT Tea Rooms of Sconeathon fame at Dunwich Heath..
A couple of Oystercatchers were about
And Avocets were being territorial..
Redshank.
We walked for a while and headed over for views of Adders. Which we got and a pair were mating.
And as we returned to the visitor centre Pete got onto a treecreeper... which he put me onto... sadly Pete didn't get a shot as a result..
And by then it was lunchtime so we headed off to NT Dunwich Heath for a lunchtime fruit scone. before heading off home.
A great weekend away..... here's to the next one :)
