My blog is mostly about wildlife, particularly birds, walking, days out, all growing things and anything else that comes to mind.

West Dean Gardens in Spring sunshine.

Had some family duties this morning....... and afterwards, as the sun was shining, I headed off for West Dean Gardens... more traffic about today so arrived just before lunchtime.

As you go into the visitor centre..

I was reasonably peckish, so had a Sconch today..... very nice flavour and very fresh but not quite up to the standard of yesterday's at NT..Petworth

Over the next few weeks hopefully these borders will be really colourful as they were last year..

Looks quite tropical..... and I didn't need a coat or jacket today.. lovely..

Not far from here heard, then saw, Goldcrests.. seen them here quite often.. :)

A buzzard cruised silently overhead - hadn't got the 'right' camera for birds so more  a record shot..

Lots of sheep out in the pasture but no lambs that I could see.....

Think this is something to do with the children's trail..

and on the inside!!

Bees were a-buzzing...

A lovely walk amongst the amazing spring flowers.... I didn't visit the sunken garden today... but should have done....

Professor Quatermass ought to look that "pod" over.

That doesn't look like a standard honey bee to me, wonder what it is?
