Plovers at Pulborough Brooks

Made a return visit to Pulborough this morning.  Just a few nightingales heard but none seen at all.

Did see this chappie... not sure if it's a Willow Warbler or not... couldn't get a clear shot and I didn't hear it either...... so any ID ideas would be gratefully received..  The colour may be a bit darker than it should be as I had the camera setting on 'Vivid' rather than 'Standard' ooops....

NB: I have now been advised it's a Female Whitethroat....

And then spent some time just watchng the Little Ringed Plovers.. lovely.

The only shot I got of male and female... they didn't stay together for many minutes and the female stayed some distance away...

Looks like its going to nest... lots of calling and tail in the air... but the female showed no interest at all...

Seems a popular spot for drinking.....

and then onto Petworth... but that's for another blog post..!

thanks Roy... there's quite a debate going on between female Whitethroat and Nightingale... and given the venue, there's several Nightingales around at the mo..
